I'm Diogo Moreira, an independent software engineer and consultant based in Portugal.

I work with you and your team to understand your day-to-day work and find where technology can help. Together, we choose an approach that fits your business, whether that means connecting existing tools, automating manual work or building custom software. I take responsibility for the software project, from defining the solution with you to implementation and launch. I can also provide ongoing maintenance and support.

Together, we look at how you use your existing systems before choosing a technical approach. Existing software may solve the problem; sometimes a smaller custom tool is a better fit than a complex or expensive product. The choice needs to make sense for the work and its ongoing cost.

For AI, I recommend human review during rollout and for actions where mistakes could affect people or the business. The results and risks guide how much the system can do on its own.

Costs and ongoing use

We discuss costs after understanding the problem and the work involved, including development and ongoing running costs.

I offer ongoing maintenance, with terms agreed per project. I can run the solution for you or work with your existing infrastructure. Hosting, code handover and support are agreed before we start.

Relevant work

I built a class-planning application for a fitness studio where weekly arrangements were coordinated over WhatsApp. Members can confirm their usual plan using saved preferences, while the manager works with them on changes.
